Our story
We are Kate and Louise founders of Craft & Crumb - we started this business 7 years ago from our kitchen tables and although we still work from home we have a wonderful warehouse that allows us to operate our growing business in a way that gives us the space we need at home to focus on our kids. Being mums has always been at the core of our business.. it was why we started C&C in the first place and continues to always be at the heart of everything we do. No product or decision gets decided or developed without looking at our own experience as parents and every new kit is tested by our own very harsh critics (our 5 kids!!)
We were great friends before C&C and feel very lucky to be able to work with each other every day.. We have very different skills/ roles in the business and this has been a great tool for us.. I (kate) work on all the creative/ product focused bits and Louise is the sales / operations side. Basically I do all the fluffy stuff and Louise keeps me on the straight and narrow when I get carried away.
We started the business as birthday cake kits - helping people to make show stopping themed cakes with everything they need in one box. We have since moved our focus to our bake & craft gift boxes which we sell both online from our own site as well as in a number of retailers.. Our eco food fun party bags have grown from strength to strength thanks to all our amazing customers and still make up a very large part of the business.
